I resigned from the LDS Church in 1996 (was NOT excommunicated). I resigned from the Church because I discovered that Joseph Smith was not a true prophet. His prophecies all failed. I discovered that The Book of Mormon does not square with ancient American archaeology or history. I discovered too many "facts" that did not square with what the LDS Church is claiming is true. I did my research NOT to prove the Church false, but in order to prove it TRUE.
I am protesting because of the fact that LDS Church leaders have decided to try to "cover up" the Church's racist past (Curse of Cain Doctrine); instead of publicly apologizing for it. That's not right!

For 130 years, Mormon Church leaders taught, as official Church doctrine, that "Negroes" are "cursed" and "inferior" and "the children of Cain". Now, the LDS Church public affairs office is saying, "The Church NEVER taught that!" They are lying! In my protests at Temple Square in and front of LDS Seminaries I have been assaulted by some Mormons (usually Polynesian Mormons). Several groups of young Polynesian Mormons have driven up to me saying, "Hey you f***ing howlie...we gunna KILL you m*****er f***er!!" Salt Lake Police told me that this was not a crime; to threaten someone with murder while calling them a racial slur. The Salt Lake Prosecutor's Office said it WAS a crime; a "terrorisTIC threat" in fact, but that they would do nothing, because the Salt Lake Police refused to do anything, and they couldn't "go over the head" of the Salt Lake City Police Dept.

Most Mormons simply ignore me. A few are kind and say, "I'll pray for you brother!" Most just ignore. However, some have not. I have been told at least four times I would be murdered. Twice I have had young Mormon students, outside of and LDS Seminary (next to all high schools in Utah), grab my sign, or literature, run away and tear it up and toss it in the street. Once this happened in front of a Salt Lake County Deputy Sheriff (in front of Olympus High); who did nothing but laugh while he observed this! One extremely HUGE Polynesian Mormon (a BYU lineman) kept grabbing my genitals, hoping I would take a swing at him (thereby giving him an excuse to beat me senseless). I asked LDS Church Security men, "Please...call 911 right now!" But they did not. The Polynesian Mormon just kept assaulting me, and I kept backing up, over and over again, and finally left. This was at Temple Square, on the sidewalk, and LDS Church Security just stood there and laughed as this was done. I finally called Salt Lake Police, who showed up 40 minutes later, long after the Polynesian and his friends had left. The officer asked LDS Security (who saw everything) "Did you see this man being assaulted?" They shook their heads "no".

I had had several large rocks or chunks of concrete whiss past close inches from my head (on the sidewalk next to West High and also East High). I have been called a "liar" a "child-molestor" a "faggot" (none of these things are true), spit upon, assaulted, and threatened with death: all by those calling themselves "Latter-day Saints".

The leaders of the Mormon Church has been in a campaign of cover-up regarding the Curse of Cain Doctrine since 1996. LDS Church public affairs, and Church leaders themselves, have been telling journalists and the public, "We never taught it" and "It was folklore, never a doctrine of the Church" and "Some Members may have believed it, but it was never approved of by Church Leaders". These are lies. They know they are lying! This is called "Lying for the Lord". If you lie it is bad. But, if you lie "for the Lord" it's ok (in their view).

I will continue to protest, until the Mormon church leaders decide to PUBLICLY acknowledge the truth, that they (Mormon Church leaders) taught the Curse of Cain Doctrine as official Church doctrine for 130 years, and publicly apologize to all people of black African descent!

*For 130 years Mormon Church leaders taught an official "doctrine of the Church" that "Negroes" were the "cursed children of Cain"; that Cain was turned from a white man into the first "Negro" because he killed Abel, and that his "children" (Negroes) could not enter Mormon Temples nor hold the Mormon priesthood until the Curse of Cain was removed. This was known as "the Curse of Cain Doctrine.

*For 130 years (1848-1978) Mormon Church leaders BANNED all Negroes, and even white people with "one drop of Negro blood" from all Mormon temples, and from the Mormon priesthood (which every Mormon male over the age of 12 is supposed to hold). The "reasons" they give were "the Curse of Cain Doctrine" and because "Negroes" were "less valiant" in the War in Heaven; where all human spiritis fought for Jesus against Lucifer. Some spirits were "less valiant" so they were punished by being born Negroes. This "ban" upon blacks from Mormon Temples and the Mormon priesthood was called "the Priesthood-ban Policy".

*Both "the Curse of Cain Doctrine" and "the Priesthood-ban Policy" were "official" and top-down. If a rank-and-file Mormon preached against either, he was usually excommunicated (Doug Wallace was exed in 1976 when he ordained a black man to the Priesthood). The Curse of Cain Doctrine and Priesthood-ban Policy are collectively known as The Curse of Cain Legacy.

*Many of your Mormon friends and co-workers will deny the Church ever taught that blacks were "cursed" and "the children of Cain". Ask them "Then why were blacks banned from all Mormon temples and the Mormon priesthood for 130 years?" They will say, "Ah, I have a meeting to go to" or "I never agreed with it!" or "Because the Brethren [Church leaders] did not want blacks experiencing prejudice in the Church, and we white Mormons just weren't ready!" The TRUTH however, is that Mormon leaders banned blacks because they were considered to be under "the Curse of Cain" and "less valiant" in the War in Heaven. Those are the only reasons Mormon Church leaders gave for 130 years as to "why" they banned "Negroes" from Mormon temples and the Mormon priesthood for 130 years.

*If you ask the Mormon Church leader for a "interview" concerning the "Curse of Cain Doctrine" they will put you off forever, or refer you to LDS Church Public Affairs, who will lie to you, or equivocate by saying, "It was folklore, never a doctrine of the Church". Don't let them get away with it. Ask them, "Did Church leaders EVER teach, in General Conference, or in official letters, that Negroes are the cursed children of Cain and under the Curse of Cain, and that the Mark of Cain was black skin, a flat nose, and kinky hair? Did Mormon Church LEADERS ever teach that?" The TRUTH is of course they did teach that, in General Conference, and in official letters issued by the First Presidency, and signed by them. Anything less than that, is a lie.

The Church has been lying about this since 1996. It is "news"; because they are still lying about it. This on-going COVER-UP needs to be exposed!

The methods that LDS Church spokesmen use are as follows:

1. Eternal Put-offs. They will say, "We'll get back to on that" and never, ever, get back to you.

2. Equivocation. They will answer questions that you have not asked, and will change the subject, and "dodge". For example, you will ask, "Did the Church EVER teach that black people were cursed and under the curse of Cain and were the children of Cain and that God changed Cain into the first Negro because he killed Abel?" They will reply, "You know, we have over 200,000 black Members in Africa, and many African-American Members, and they are very faithful, and we've found that they are welcomed with open arms into the Church, and we have had many black African bishops and mission presidents too. Sure, sometimes we hear of white Members saying negative things, but we always admonish them against racist beliefs!"

3. They will LIE! They will say, "No, the Church NEVER taught that or "Well, some Members may have believed it, but not Church leaders!" or something like that. Th ese are lies. They KNOW they are lying to you. They will look you straight into the eye, smile, and lie through their teeth!

The more educated you are on black Mormon history, the more you'll realize this when they are speaking to you. The more ignorant of black Mormon history they think you are, the BIGGER their lies will be. The more educated on black Mormon history they think you are, the more SUBTLE their eqivocations will be. They believe they are "Lying for the Lord" and thus their use of deception is "ok" by God (i.e. Church leaders represent God, and Church leaders have told them to cover-up the Curse of Cain Legacy, therefore GOD has instructored them to cover-up the Curse of Cain legacy).

Is there not at least ONE Utah journalist who is willing to take on the Mormon Church, and expose, once and for all their current and on-going CURSE OF CAIN COVER-UP?
